Day Twenty 11/23/10

We tied up the driver and Jacob Sterling. We looted Jacob, the driver and the dead guards. We acquired the stolen plans. Then we headed back to Derelune.

We went back to Jangu's house. There was no answer at the door. We peered into the window and saw four city guards inside. We went to an inn across to to get away. The next morning, we sold our loot. Solathis and Tambar went back to Jangu's house to check things out. We went out back. The house was empty. Solathis went across the street to a tavern to keep an eye on the place. Tambar went back to gather the others.

Once we were all in the back yard, we picked the lock on the back door. Tambar cast invisibility on Solathis and sent him inside. He investigated the house. Nothing was out of place and Jangu was not home.

At the tavern across the street, we asked if anyone saw anything unusual at Jangu's house. The four guards were there. They arrested us. We were taken to jail and thrown into a holding cell with six other prisoners. Later, a guard took one guy out. We picked the lock, turned invisible and left the cell. Four of the prisoners escaped, but the other guy stayed there.

We searched the jail and eventually found Jangu and Semper. We didn't have enough invisibility magic left, so we fed them two shrink beans left over from a previous adventure. We put them in our pocket. We fled the jail and rented a room in a flophouse in the slums. We slept.

In the morning, Jangu and Semper were the right size again. We discussed our options. We realized that even though we were trying to right a wrong by getting the plans back from Jacob, we still committed highway robbery and murder. Jangu explained what happened:

Before we were out of the city, Jangu and Semper were arrested. They were charged with stealing plans from Jacob. They were Jangu's plans. We decided to duplicate the plans, but with small flaws. We paid a guy to buy parchment, ink and a pen. We waited for two days while Jangu duplicated the plans. Once he is done, we are going to charm a guy to take them to the magistrate claiming that he found them on the highway.
