Day Seventeen 10/4/10

We examined the bloody altar. It was devoted to Bane, but otherwise unremarkable. We found a secret door in the room that ended in a chamber.

Inside was another altar. The floor was covered with sand. On the altar were two orbs, a red dragon statue and two small chests.

The man with the axe was there. He had two draconians with him. Battle was started and we won. It was tough, we barely survived, but we won.

We examined the altar. Nothing was magical except for one orb. The sorcerer touched it and had a vision of riding a good dragon. He learned to speak and understand the language of dragons. He then had a vision of the outside of the barrow we were in. He saw over the fields to the west where we stop before a river. We found 700 gold and took the dragon statue.

We tried to leave the barrow, but a voice told us to go back in. We went back, slew four more ghouls, slept and went back to the final room. Everyone else touched the magic orb and learned the language of dragons. Then we finally left the barrow and headed back east to Glen Hollow.

We told Obed of our exploits. He told us that the survivors we had released had made it back home. We were paid 100 GP. We ate, drank and slept.

In the morning, we left Glen Hollow and walked west. Ten miles later, we made camp for the night. The next day, we walked five miles more.

We saw smoke from many campfires ahead of us. The sorcerer cast invisibility on the ranger. He then sneaked up on the camp. Before he made to the camp, a draconian flew over us and spotted us. It called out our races and location and flew back to the camp. Everyone but the ranger started to run away. He still checked out the camp, then ran after us.

Eventually, we stopped. He reported that he saw 100 goblins and two draconians. We plan to go northeast to Derelune, warn them of what we saw and then take the road west to the river. Once there, we would follow the river south to the point the sorcerer saw in his vision.
